I want to express internal feelings and state of mind through drastic and bold external form. Wood is a more appropriate material and a portrait fits my theme best. I tried my best to present the inner truth and pursue something that falls in between resemblance and those not during my creation. I intend to understand how to control my work unknowingly to make it like nature itself. It turned out that the work was half done by me, and half by God; and I tried my best to keep those valuable “accidents" (inspirations). At the same time, I try to be willful and listen to my heart, rather than dogmas. A man makes his own way, and the process cannot always follow his willingness –– it is what that makes life and artistic creation wonderful. There is an old saying –– "The article was already there, but fortunately I found it.”
