I tend to develop an interest in spiritual patterns which are tranquil, mysterious and embodied with a sense of ritual.

The series of Monument works depict the landscape of seemingly surreal moldering ruins which do exist in the process of urbanization. They are like monuments to this fast-changing and developing world, containing strong artistic expressiveness in themselves and implying more serious and complicated questions concerning sociology and anthropology.

Besides, I can always get inspirations from campus and residential buildings. They can evoke my life experiences and imagination. In my work, “Teaching Building in the Night”, I tried to narrow the color range in a limited extent and intended to endow the picture with a sense of tranquility by applying the method of impasto and induction.
