 I once lived in the countryside years ago, where two people standing distantly said hello and communicated with each other by the way of folk song. Folk songs can do well in the expressing of different situations and different emotions. Nowadays, I am living in a city, in which the natural mountains have been replaced by artificial “mountains”, namely the high-rising buildings. Since 2017, the author has collected more than six thousand pieces of Hakka folk songs in the south of China, based on which one hundred city folk songs with a form of traditional Chinese folk song have been created.  Hawkers, city inspectors, online celebrities, white-collar workers, out-seller and real estate sales, etc, sing and express themselves by the way of folk song. These songs tell a variety of stories and show the confusions and enmotions of morden.
