My hometown, Rizhao Juxian County, Shandong Province, has demolished the old urban areas since 2017 to build “Juguo Ancient City” for tourism. The trees, bricks and tiles that l grew up with were all reduced to ruins, making me feel that the gentle time was destroyed by violence, not only material destruction, but also the dismemberment of the memories of generations. This series of works is thus produced. The accumulation of colors is slow and short. The gentleness of the color layers and the violence of the scar are combined in a conflicted way.
