Egami Etsu's painting measures the differences between the situation that you take a picture of a person's face and what you feel from the face. But I want to note that it is quite different to draw according to what she is feeling, and to draw according to the real thing. Without doubt, what she attempts to do is to draw the "differences" between them. So to speak, Egami Etsu's brush try to capture this “profound” state.
