“Art Nova 100” Hong Kong Station brings to a successful close

This October the 2012 Art Nova 100 made its first step to become a representative art platform for Asian young artists. It is not only just helping artists from outside of China to come into China, but also helps Chinese young artists to go abroad and participate some of the great art activities that is going on outside of China. For its first step, Art Nova 100 made its debut in Hong Kong which has emerged as one of the world’s largest and strongest markets for art and antiques and hottest art scene in the world right now.

Art Nova 100 organized a special exhibition in 2012 Fine Art Asia which is recognized as Asia’s premier annual art fair presenting a unique combination of art and antiques. In this year’s Fine Art Asia, over 90 leading local and international galleries have provided an opportunity to show over 6,000 artworks of the highest quality. Among them, Art Nova 100 showed 39 artworks of 14 exceptional Chinese young artists to collectors, connoisseurs, dealers, art enthusiasts and the general public. Chinese oriental painting by these young artists got very much attention like always, and a lot of collectors and galleries also gave great interest in oil paintings and sculptures by Chinese young artists. Over 20,000 visitors from all over the world came to Fine Art Asia, and not only just collectors from China are interested in Chinese young artists, but also collectors from the West spend great time knowing about them. By sharing their own stories through artworks, 14 young artists showed us the bright future and huge potentials of Chinese young artists.

The 2012 Art Nova 100 has just started this year’s program with successful exhibitions in Beijing and Hong Kong. In China, Art Nova 100 already became most promising art platform for young artists. By having exhibition in Hong Kong which is the bridge between the East and West, Art Nova 100 aims both to show high quality Chinese young contemporary art to a worldwide audience, and to act as a gateway for international artists who wish to come into China.
