The 2014 Art Nova 100 Selection Committee includes 11 professionals: Robin Reisenfeld (USA), Alex Gao, He Duoling, Chun Youngpaik (Korea), Jerry Song, Sun Guosheng, Tan Ping, Wang Chunchen, Xiang Jing, Xu Lei, and Zhao Li (China). This international team has worked together to uphold the principles of openness, transparency, and fairness in their review of more than 2500 artists nominated by critics and professionals, from which 100 outstanding young artists have been selected to participate in the 2014 Art Nova 100. 

All the young artists in the exhibition were born in or after 1975, and many have graduated from professional art institutions. They work in a wide variety of media, including oil painting, sculpture, traditional Chinese painting, printmaking, video, and installation. The result is a striking selection of works by artists who represent key trends and practices among young artists in China.
