Born in Seoul, Korea in 1961. Received his B.A and M.A. Degree in the Science of Arts and finished his Ph.D course in Aesthetics at Hong-ik University. 1992 Began his career as a curator at Ho-Am Art Museum (today’s LEEUM, Samsung Museum of Art) of the Samsung Foundation of Culture and held various number of positions, such as associate curator at RODIN Gallery, Senior Curator at Seoul Museum of Art, and Chief Curator at Busan Museum of Art, Chief Curator at Sungkok Art Museum of The Sungkok Art and Culture Foundation, Seoul, Korea. He was an artistic director for Eco of Echo (2009, Yangpyong, Korea), a curator for the Korea section of the 2nd Kuandu Biennale (2010, Taipei, Taiwan), and a curator for the Korea section of the 2nd Chongqing Biennale for Young Artists (Chongqing, China). Currently, He is a chief curator at Seongnam Arts Center Cube Art Museum of The Seongnam Cultural Foundation and a president at Korean Curator’s Association, Seoul, Korea. Park perceives Contemporary Art with an acknowledgement of neglected values, and an eye of slowness rather than fleetness.
