XU Lei

professor and master tutor of the Academy of Literature and Art of the Chinese National Academy of Arts, Vice President of the Chinese Meticulous Painting Society.

Xu graduated from Nanjing University of the Arts, majoring in Chinese painting. He is mainly engaged in the creation of contemporary fine brushwork, and also uses installation and video as media. He has held solo exhibitions at the National Museum of China, Suzhou Museum, Beijing Today Art Museum, Marbera Gallery (New York/Madrid), professional institutions and galleries in San Francisco, London, Hong Kong and other places, and participated in international exhibitions such as "China Pavilion of the 12th Venice Architecture Biennale" and "National Pavilion of the 59th Venice Biennale". His works are collected by the Palace Museum, Shanghai Art Museum, Jiangsu Art Museum, Suzhou Museum, Hong Kong M+ Art Museum and other institutions.
