Having viewed the many works submitted by young artists to “Art Nova 100”, I can say that young artists are ripe with creativity and are actively exploring a range of subjects and materials. All young artists will confront challenges in how to define themselves and their works and move out from the shadows of the artists who have inspired them. This is a process that takes not months, but years. As these artists move forward, they will and their directions and create works that are even more striking and successful.
